Sustainable Building & Innovation in Construction

Today (17 September 2025) at CA2DM, we were honoured to host Engineer Liow Bee Leng, Director at the Centre of Excellence for Civil and Structural Design & Research and the Building & Research Institute from the Housing & Development Board, along with her team.

It was a highly engaging knowledge exchange session where Professor Antonio shared insights on long-lasting, high-performance, and cost-effective green cement and concrete. This innovative material demonstrates remarkable capabilities in sealing cracks and preventing further deterioration in buildings, representing a significant evolution in construction technology.

Such advancements are particularly crucial for HDB developments and may potentially replace the use of traditional materials like epoxy, offering sustainable and durable solutions for the built environment.

We look forward to driving research into practical, smarter, greener, and more resilient building solutions.
