President Mitsuo Ochi from Hiroshima University Visits CA2DM at NUS

Today (21 January 2025), we had the honor of hosting Professor Mitsuo Ochi, President of Hiroshima University, along with Professor Shinji Kaneko, Executive Vice President for Global Initiatives, and Ms. Yu Watanabe, Senior Staff of the International Office, at the Center for Advanced 2D Materials (CA2DM), National University of Singapore (NUS).

The visit provided a platform to strengthen ties between Hiroshima University and NUS, fostering collaboration in cutting-edge research and innovation. As a globally recognized institute, CA2DM showcased its advancements in 2D material science, emphasizing translational applications in industrial and medical fields.

During the visit, our distinguished guests were warmly welcomed by Professor Antonio Castro Neto, Director of CA2DM, and Professor Sow Chorng Haur, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science. They highlighted the institute’s pioneering efforts and shared insights into how CA2DM’s work is driving breakthroughs in material science.

This visit reaffirms the shared commitment of Hiroshima University and NUS to pushing the frontiers of knowledge and innovation and we look forward to exploring further opportunities for collaboration that will benefit academia and society at large.
