Wenhui’s Paper has been accepted and published on Journal of Energy Chemistry!
We are thrilled to share that we’ve achieved a breakthrough in battery technology!
🌟 After dedicated research and development efforts, we’ve successfully designed and developed an innovative quasi-yolk-shell structured Si anode.
🛠️ This advancement not only allows for up to 20% Si content but is also economically feasible for scaling.
Here are some key highlights:
🔬 Material Innovation: We’ve introduced interlayer bonding within the carbon shell and optimized the Si-C interface layer between Si and the carbon shell. This has resulted in exceptional energy density and cycling stability.
💰 Cost-Efficiency: By utilizing micron-sized silicon ($0.5/g) and expanded graphite ($0.05/g) as starting materials, our production costs are over 100 times lower than the nano silicon anode technology commonly used in the industry. We’ve simplified the synthesis steps by 78% and saved 99% of the time compared to representative yolk-shell structured silicon anodes in academia.
📈 Scaling Success: Leveraging a modified spark plasma sintering technique, we’ve achieved yields of over 1 kg/day, paving the way for scalable production.
This breakthrough opens up new possibilities in battery technology, with implications for a wide range of industries. I’m incredibly proud of our team’s dedication and hard work in making this achievement possible. For more details, please refer to the link.
