Researchers from Soochow University in China developed a 2D RRAM device structure based on sheets of graphene and hexagonal boron nitride (hBN). The device uses a Graphene/hBN/Graphene structure and it features excellent overall fitting results.

This is still just a theoretical model, but it may prove to be the basis of high performance RRAM devices.

Skeleton Technologies has unveiled SkelGrid, an energy storage system for industrial power applications, based on the company's curved graphene supercapacitor technology. The system is meant to ensure reliable power quality in manufacturing plants, data centers, and more.

SkelGrid is said to provide the highest power and energy density on the market in the industry standard electrical cabinet or container format. The SkelGrid product family is based on SkelRack modules, which can be installed in industry standard 19”, 600mm deep cabinets, and in 20 or 40 ft. containers to provide short-term power at the megawatt level. The SkelGrid family has maximum power ratings ranging from 520 kW up to 1500 kW, and as a modular product, its components can be configured according to customers’ needs.

Imagine Intelligent Materials, an Australia-based graphene applications company, has announced a commercial installation of its imgne® X3 solution, at a Queensland coal seam gas site, reportedly completed during the 2nd week of May.

The installations comprise a total of over 10,000 square meters of bidim C geotextiles, manufactured by Geofabrics Australasia and coated with Imagine IM’s imgne® X3. The conductive coating enables detection of holes as small as 0.7 mm using pre-existing, proven electrical testing techniques. The solution allows operators to reduce the risk of leakage of toxic leachate from CSG mining into groundwater and aquifers.

Graphene 3D Lab and AzTrong have announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which outlines the terms of the agreement to be executed in the near future. This collaboration will aim to achieve cost effective production of performance-improving graphene-based products with focus on energy storage, construction, automotive and defense sectors.

Subject to the final agreement, Graphene 3D Lab will continue to develop formulations for graphene-related products while conducting tests and quality control measurements. G3L will also contribute its extensive knowledge in marketing for the graphene related products, while AzT will perform the large-scale manufacturing of the products. The products will be distributed by both companies including the e-commerce web stores, Graphene Supermarket, BlackMagic3D and G6-Epoxy, operated by Graphene 3D.
